EDUCATION NEWS

  • Arizona teachers can apply for SRP Classroom Grants offering up to $5,000 for hands-on projects; applications close Feb. 15. Certified K–12 educators (in Apache, Gila, Maricopa, Navajo, Pinal and Yavapai counties) can fund projects in STEM, history and social science.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Scottsdale Unified School District board cut $3.9 million in spending for the next school year after a 3-1 vote on Feb. 10. The decision trims funding for security and teacher programs while keeping counseling ratios unchanged.  Scottsdale Independent

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Scottsdale-based nonprofit Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children provided essential support to families facing pediatric cancer in 2025 by offering financial help, meal services, counseling, and tutoring.
