  • Sam Fox's The Henry will open its third Valley location on March 18 at the Scottsdale 101 shopping center (southwest corner of Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road). The restaurant, owned by The Cheesecake Factory, will bring a new dining option near Scottsdale and Phoenix.  ABC15 Arizona
  • Banner Health is upgrading its robotic surgery fleet with 49 new da Vinci 5 systems across hospitals in Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming — the full upgrade will be completed by March to enhance patient care.  Scottsdale Independent

CULTURE NEWS

  • Royse Contemporary in the Arts District hosted an opening reception for ROOTED: In the Presence of Earth, a solo exhibition by Kim Walker featuring botanical mixed media works and handwritten poems. The exhibit opened on Thurs, Feb. 5 (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and remains open until Sunday, March 29.  Arizona Digital Free Press

ECONOMY NEWS

  • At the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce’s Forward Scottsdale presentation on Feb. 17, experts said affordable child care and housing will boost the economy by supporting a ready workforce. They noted that child care challenges cause a $3.8 billion loss (with legislative bills aiming to ease the housing crisis).  Scottsdale Independent

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Scottsdale’s new Alpha School uses AI-driven instruction to teach core subjects for two hours daily while guides focus on life skills workshops. The private school charges $40,000 a year + plans to open a larger campus next year, expanding from its initial enrollment of 34 students.  The Arizona Republic

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Rep. Selina Bliss and Sen. T.J. Shope introduced bills today to allow Arizonans under 65 with ALS access to affordable Medigap plans — easing high out-of-pocket costs.
