  • Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art will open its exhibition Mark + Making on Mar. 21 as it spotlights artworks from its permanent collection that use mark-making to shape form and ideas. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • State officials and the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group announced a plan to cut the wild horse herd from 274 to 120 by relocating about 25 horses annually using fertility control and transfers to vetted sanctuaries along the lower Salt River and Tonto National Forest.  KJZZ

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Scottsdale home sales dropped 7.2% in January compared to last year, and pending sales fell 41.4% while closed sales rose 0.6% statewide (according to Scottsdale REALTORS).  Scottsdale Independent

  • ASU’s women’s basketball coach Molly Miller said former Tennessee guard Ruby Whitehorn (dismissed last November) joined the program on Feb. 21 and will not play until next season.
