  • Circle K in Scottsdale is suing its store manager and the Arizona Lottery over a $12.8 million jackpot ticket after a customer ordered 85 tickets (only paying for 60) for the Nov. 24 drawing, leaving 25 tickets aside from which one won the prize.  ABC15 Arizona
  • Sam Fox’s upscale restaurant The Henry will open a new outlet on March 18 at the Scottsdale 101 shopping plaza; the 7,000 sqft venue will offer indoor and outdoor seating, an open kitchen and a walk-up coffee bar.  The Arizona Republic

CULTURE NEWS

  • Scottsdale Art Week, presented by Scottsdale Ferrari, will run at WestWorld from Thursday, March 19 to Sunday, March 22, featuring major works by artists like Picasso, Warhol, and Dali.   • Alpha Scottsdale is a new AI school offering K-8 students a personalized 1:1 tutoring model and practical life skills with projects like a food truck launch — the school opened four months ago at 20624 N. 76th and aims to boost learning despite parental concerns about AI use.  Scottsdale Progress
  • Three Scottsdale Unified School District elementary schools have been named 2026 A+ Schools of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation. Anasazi, Kiva and Redfield earned the honor for strong academics, positive culture and community engagement.  Scottsdale Independent

  • The Salt River Project added 1,000 white amur fish to a Tempe canal on Monday, Feb. 23— the carp are non-native and unable to reproduce and work to eat fast-growing plants that clog water flow.  KJZZ
