- ➤ The Singletons, a nonprofit supporting single-parent families battling cancer, is hosting its Philanthropic Foodies event on Saturday, March 7 at a private Paradise Valley home. - ➤ Daylight saving time will begin for the Navajo Nation on Sunday, March 8, while most of Arizona stays on standard time (staying aligned with Pacific time from March to November). Lawmakers are considering a bill to permanently end the bi-annual clock change. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Scottsdale proposes a 4.5% water rate increase due to the Colorado River’s uncertainty. The City Council will consider options for new water sources on May 19 while Gilbert already approved a 25% hike effective April 1. ABC15 Arizona

- ➤ The 100 Club of Arizona is launching its firefighter cancer prevention campaign by donating five StormStick decontamination systems to Scottsdale Fire Department (aiming to protect firefighters from occupational cancer) and still needs seven more systems to cover every firetruck statewide. - ➤ Arizona renters may soon receive two months’ rent from a $1 million settlement announced by Attorney General Kris Mayes with Wiedner Property Management LLC to address price-fixing.
