  • Scottsdale’s cybersecurity upgrade won a national 2026 CSO Award — a nod to its Zero Trust and Secure SD-WAN transformation — that aims to strengthen the digital services residents use every day.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Desert Foothills Volunteers is hosting its first GIG for volunteer opportunities on Tuesday, March 31 at 12 p.m. at The Holland Center (34250 N 60th Street, Scottsdale). CULTURE NEWS

  • Scottsdale City Council approved a three-year agreement with Scottsdale Arts to manage arts programs and cultural events starting July 1. The deal (allocating $6.3 million for fiscal 2026/27) includes phased reductions in General Fund contributions and new oversight measures to increase local revenue.  Arizona Digital Free Press
  • Scottsdale Art Week will honor acclaimed photographer Cara Romero as its inaugural Indigenous Artist of the Year on Thursday, Mar. 19 at WestWorld from 6 to 9 p.m.; the four-day art fair features 124 galleries, live previews + collector opportunities.  Scottsdale Progress

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Scottsdale Unified School District employees will get a 2% raise next school year after the board voted 4 to 1 on March 10. Board member Amy Carney (the only dissent) said the raise was unfair to administrators who already earn more.  Scottsdale Independent

  • A Lawn Love analysis of 500 U.S. cities shows that Scottsdale ranks among Arizona’s top 15 cities for affordable DIY weddings as rising costs prompt couples to choose simpler celebrations. The study used 19 metrics - outdoor space and local wedding services.  The Arizona Republic
