  • An 80-foot Ferris wheel is set to debut later this month at Arizona Boardwalk along Loop 101. The ride features 18 air-conditioned gondolas and full-color LED lighting (visible from the freeway and behind Butterfly Wonderland) with trips lasting 5 to 8 minutes and tickets starting at $9 for the first rider.  KTAR

  • Copa Health sued former CEO Sharareh Najafi-Piper March 23 for misusing funds to support a for-profit venture, though she denies the claims. The nonprofit, which serves vulnerable Arizona populations, named David M. Day (interim CEO) while a court hearing is set for April 7 in Maricopa County Superior Court.  The Arizona Republic

  • Keyshawn Whitehorse, a 28-year-old Navajo bull rider with the Glendale-based Arizona Ridge Riders, won the Ty Murray Invitational after riding bucking bull Lights Out in Albuquerque—earning a trophy, belt buckle, and $40,000 check for a perfect record over four rides this past weekend.  KJZZ
