- ➤ An April planet parade will let residents see Mercury, Mars and Saturn by the naked eye, with its peak on April 18. Look east 30-60 minutes before dawn in dark rural areas for the best view. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Gas prices in the Valley fell to $4.89 per gallon with a 5-cent drop as statewide averages rose. In Scottsdale, prices have increased with Costco at 15255 N Hayden Road listing gas at $4.29 per gallon. Scottsdale Independent

- ➤ The Valley of the Sun JCC will offer two summer day camps starting May 26: Kochavim for ages 2 to Kindergarten (ending July 25) and Shemesh for grades K-10 (ending Aug. 6). The camps include swim lessons, sports, art, music, STEM classes and more in an inclusive setting. Scottsdale Independent
- ➤ Rose Gorman, a fifth-grade student at Anasazi Elementary, was named a 2026 Arizona International Baccalaureate Schools Primary Years Programme Student of the Year on March 27 for her academic focus, service and international experience.
