- ➤ Emma F., 17 years old and a senior at Desert Mountain High School with 12 years of membership at the Virginia G. Piper Branch, was named the 2025 Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Youth of the Year at a Celebrate Youth Gala on March 29 at The Phoenician and will compete in the state Youth of the Year contest in April while she earned a $30,000 scholarship and four finalists each received $2,500. - ➤ Maricopa County awarded Scottsdale Recovery Center ($232,878) from a $4.3 million opioid settlement that supports 17 local groups fighting the opioid crisis.
