COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Scottsdale's McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park will add a 5,000‐square‐foot splashpad and an indoor playground in a new 10,000‐square‐foot building this summer as part of its 50th anniversary. The park will also open a new entry plaza with seating, public art, and restrooms — part of a $13.1 million project approved by voters in 2019.  KTAR

  • On April 17, Jaime Kelley cared for her sick daughter and worked at the Capitol in Phoenix to save the Parents as Paid Caregivers program that helps families like hers. Evelyn, 12, received long daily treatments at home and went to her co-op at Desert Bible Church in Glendale.  The Arizona Republic
  • Scottsdale’s Budget Review Commission will share its recommendations tomorrow, April 22, after nine meetings on the 2025-26 city budget that cuts overall spending by 3.8% while raising operating funds by 6.5%.
