  • Cogir Senior Living is inviting a senior influencer to live rent free in a Scottsdale community for a one month Granfluencer Program starting in May. Applicants must be 65 or older and live independently while documenting daily life with residents.  The Arizona Republic
  • Nearly 4,700 volunteers logged over 129,000 hours in fiscal year 2024/25 for Scottsdale programs—from libraries to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve—and the city valued that work at $4.35 million (based on volunteer time calculations).  Scottsdale Independent

  • Scottsdale Airport has earned a new national ranking of No. 8 in business jet travel after nearly 54,000 take-offs and landings were recorded from March 2025 through February this year — airport planning coordinator Kelli Kuester said the data reflect increased corporate aviation activity.  ABC15 Arizona

  • Scottsdale will host its inaugural Juneteenth celebration with a Freedom Festival on June 13 at the Civic Center area and a Faith & Family Freedom Awards Breakfast on June 19 at the Performing Arts Center to honor community resilience.   • Scottsdale Seniors Services hosted its 23rd annual Entertainment Extravaganza at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts on Wednesday afternoon, where seniors performed songs, dances, and comedy to show that talent has no age limit.   • On March 26, nearly 90 students from local schools were honored at the Cactus Shadows High School Fine Arts Center during the Sonoran Arts League Celebration of Art, which featured the prestigious Jeff Cross Bronze Bell Award given to senior Eleanor (Elly) Rice for her charcoal drawing.   • A dry winter is visibly impacting SRP’s reservoirs, and water managers plan to use underground supplies to serve over 2.5 million residents; final spring runoff figures will be released by the end of May (Roosevelt Lake is below 50% capacity) to guide future operations.  ABC15 Arizona

  • The U.S. government reclassified state-licensed medical marijuana as a less dangerous drug, meaning local dispensaries can claim tax deductions and may lower costs for consumers. Cannabis Business Advisors said the change boosts business confidence for Scottsdale operators.  KJZZ
