ECONOMY NEWS

  • On April 23, gas in Scottsdale averaged $4.84, the highest in the state, while the overall price was $4.61 (up seven cents from last month). In Pima County, rates dropped to about $4.41, and some Phoenix stations charged over $5 per gallon.  The Arizona Republic

  • Twelve Valley students were named as Flinn Scholars on Thursday, earning full scholarships to Arizona public universities with a $135,000 package covering tuition+housing+meals and study abroad opportunities over four years.
