- ➤ OneAZ Credit Union and the OneAZ Community Foundation will soon accept applications for $5,000 community impact grants for local nonprofits registered as 501(c)(3) organizations with programs matching the updated Pillars of Support; applications open on May 1 and are due on May 30. - ➤ Scottsdale police arrested Lambert Dean Vander Tuig—also known as Michael Andrew Kennedy—on April 15 after years of evading capture and tracking him following an auto theft report in February; he is now held pending extradition on charges of embezzlement and fraud. The Arizona Republic
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Traffic in the Phoenix area will be slow this weekend as eastbound I-10 and parts of Arizona Avenue in Chandler and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale are closed for work. ADOT said motorists should plan extra travel time and use detours—some ramp closures began April 25 and one will run until mid-June. The Arizona Republic

- ➤ Rachel Nichols said that Suns star Devin Booker should ask for a trade because she believes his skill would be a good fit for the Houston Rockets.
