- ➤ Four SRP employees were honored with the Presidents’ Volunteer Spirit Award for volunteer work that supported local nonprofits across the Valley. - ➤ Construction began on April 1 to transform the former Tonalea Elementary at 68th and Oak into a multi-purpose facility offering eight sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, and a re-surfaced parking lot—community meetings resumed in 2020 to outline the project—and the first phase is expected to finish after 16 weeks in the third week of July.
