  • A 36-year-old man died at a hospital after a two-vehicle crash near 78th Avenue and Indian School Road on May 9 at 6:45 p.m. when his unbelted vehicle was struck as another car pulled out of a business—police reported that two others were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Scottsdale Independent

  • HonorHealth doctors explained that a stroke happens when a blood vessel in the brain is blocked while heat stroke occurs when the body overheats quickly—both are serious and need quick help. SPORTS NEWS

  • On May 10, the Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers 3-0 at Chase Field as starter Corbin Burnes pitched seven scoreless innings after receiving a cortisone shot and making tweaks to his cutter—manager Torey Lovullo said the win helped the team bounce back from a heavy loss.   • The Arizona Diamondbacks won two of three home games against the Dodgers as manager Torey Lovullo said Ketel Marte took a planned day off during recovery while left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. also rested to protect his lower body—helping maintain energy for upcoming matches. Pitcher Zac Gallen, who has shown strong results against the Dodgers, will take the mound as the team prepares for a series in San Francisco starting today at 6:45 p.m.  The Arizona Republic
  • On May 10, Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. hosted his first charity basketball game in Tempe and praised the team's offseason moves, saying he felt they had 'no ceiling' after adding key players through free agency and the draft.
