Two Scottsdale natives, Nina Schuberth and Spencer Wareing, earned dean’s list honors at Missouri State University during the spring 2026 semester.

They met all requirements (earning at least a 3.75 GPA) and completed 12 credit hours (with no grade below a B).

Scottsdale launched a specialized search and rescue team using highly trained dogs and first responders to locate missing persons in desert preserve areas and trails.

The team — a collaboration among fire, police and preserve staff — will support emergencies locally and for neighboring jurisdictions.
