EDUCATION NEWS

  • Two Scottsdale natives, Nina Schuberth and Spencer Wareing, earned dean’s list honors at Missouri State University during the spring 2026 semester. They met all requirements (earning at least a 3.75 GPA) and completed 12 credit hours (with no grade below a B).  Scottsdale Independent

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Scottsdale launched a specialized search and rescue team using highly trained dogs and first responders to locate missing persons in desert preserve areas and trails. The team — a collaboration among fire, police and preserve staff — will support emergencies locally and for neighboring jurisdictions.  Scottsdale Independent

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • The One Scottsdale development near Scottsdale Road and the Loop 101 may soon change as developer DMB plans to remove 1.4 million sqft of commercial space to add 350 condos and a possible third hotel with 113 rooms on 27 acres; the planning commission recommended the proposal on May 13.  Scottsdale Independent
