- ➤ Scottsdale police arrested seven alleged crime tourists—suspected of burglarizing Tempe and Mesa homes—on May 23 and are holding them on a $150,000 cash-only bail while investigators pursue additional charges. Scottsdale Progress

- ➤ Phillip Westbrooks, a 63-year-old investor with a Paradise Valley home & Nicholas Montefour, a 45-year-old crypto entrepreneur from Scottsdale, competed on Bravo's new show Love Hotel where Real Housewives stars chose a partner. - ➤ Scottsdale published a required 'Truth in Taxation' notice on May 27 and will print it again on June 3 to alert residents of a proposed primary tax levy increase. A public hearing is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at City Hall — if approved, the increase of $5,408,904 would raise the rate from $0.4958 to $0.5525 per $100 of assessed value, meaning a $100,000 home’s tax bill would go from $49.58 to $55.25.
