- ➤ Scottsdale Fashion Square earned the No. 6 spot on USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Mall in 2025. The mall features over 200 stores and restaurants—ranging from luxury brands to familiar retailers—and will see new additions like a Michelin-starred dumpling house opening in 2026. - ➤ Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap filed a lawsuit on June 12 against the Board of Supervisors—he claims the board took his IT staff and shifted early ballot processing away from his office. The board denies the claims and says Heap is misusing taxpayer funds. KJZZ

- ➤ The National Weather Service issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Maricopa County from today through Monday as temperatures are expected to rise above 110 degrees, which poses major health risks—residents are urged to seek cool, air-conditioned spaces and use one of the more than 140 cooling centers available.
