- ➤ The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 39th Annual Sterling Awards + the event will be held on Nov. 20 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort to honor local businesses and nonprofits, with eligible Chamber members needing to apply by July 21. - ➤ Salt River Project is taking in applications for its Solar for Nonprofits Program that will give one qualifying local nonprofit a free solar panel system—this includes installation and two years of upkeep. Eligible groups must have 501c3 status, be in SRP territory and have available parking space, and the program runs from July 14 to Aug. 15 with the winner announced mid-November. - ➤ The City of Scottsdale has launched a new constituent services team to simplify how residents interact with local government by combining the ScottsdaleEZ digital platform, a dedicated call center, and community liaisons to handle issues like potholes and neighborhood disputes. - ➤ Governor Katie Hobbs announced that millions of dollars in medical debt have been erased for over 352,000 Arizonans as part of a state plan using American Rescue Plan funds and a nonprofit partnership with Undue Medical Debt—eligible residents earning up to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level or owing at least 5% of their income will soon receive a letter about the cancellation.
