HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Jesse, who nearly weighed 300 pounds because his schizophrenia medicine made him gain weight, lost 15 pounds on Trulicity after his blood sugar spiked, but his Medicaid now stops covering the drug since it only pays for weight-loss medicines when a patient has diabetes or related illnesses. Patients and experts say low-income Arizonans must wait until their health worsens to get these drugs—raising fears that life-saving treatment is too costly until it is too late.
