CRIME NEWS

  • In March, a court-appointed conservator filed a $60 million claim against Arizona and the Department of Child Safety for failing to protect a 13-year-old who suffered years of abuse and witnessed his brother’s death in a Scottsdale extended stay hotel. The claim says that reports of abuse were ignored since 2017 and that if the claim is rejected the case may go to court (records support the allegations).  The Arizona Republic
