CRIME NEWS

  • Police arrested two suspects after months of investigating drug sales in Downtown Scottsdale—seizing drugs valued at $34,000, three illegally possessed firearms and $45,000 in suspected proceeds.  Scottsdale Independent
  • An indictment unsealed Friday alleged that Scottsdale CEO James Vincent Campbell embezzled over $2.4 million from an ERISA benefit plan—he made 135 unauthorized withdrawals from 2015 to 2024 to pay for personal expenses including hunting trips and taxidermy fees.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Scottsdale CEO James Vincent Campbell, 47, is accused of embezzling $2.4M from an employee benefit plan as funds meant for health care and retirement were used for personal expenses—like hunting trips, jewelry and gambling.  The Arizona Republic
