- ➤ Scottsdale residents filed a lawsuit Friday to block Axon's plan to build a new global headquarters with a hotel and apartments after over 25,000 residents signed a referendum against the project. The suit by Taxpayers Against Awful Apartment Zoning Exemptions seeks an injunction from Maricopa County Superior Court to stop a state law designed solely for Axon’s benefit—forcing the project forward despite local opposition.
