- ➤ The Scottsdale Fall Festival will be held at Scottsdale Civic Center—3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.—on Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m., and it will offer a live band, DJ, magic show and cocktail garden as part of its free, family-friendly program. Kids can enjoy Trick-or-Treat Alley, a pumpkin patch, carnival games, crafts, face painting and a spooky library experience called Tales from the Haunted Stacks while visitor info booths provide details on upcoming city projects. - ➤ Arizona Builders Alliance has signed a lease for a 20,869-square-foot space at SkySong — the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center — which will serve as both a corporate office and an education center for its 350 members, and this move brings SkySong 1’s occupancy to 95 percent amid a soft office market. - ➤ ADOT announced that freeways in Scottsdale and the West Valley face planned closures for pavement sealing and widening projects. Northbound Loop 303 in the West Valley was closed today until 1 p.m., while southbound Loop 303 will close from 10 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday and southbound Loop 101 in Scottsdale is closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday—drivers should use detour routes on the ADOT website. - ➤ ADOT announced that while no freeway lane closures are planned in Chandler this weekend, drivers should check its website, app or X account for ramp closures and traffic updates. Southbound Loop 101 in Scottsdale—closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project—and northbound Loop 303 in West Valley—closed until 1 p.m. today for pavement sealing—are key detours to note. - ➤ ADOT said sections of Loop 101 in Scottsdale and Loop 303 in the West Valley are closed for freeway improvement projects that began Friday night and will continue until Monday morning, Oct 6—drivers should use alternate routes like southbound State Route 51, Loop 202 and local roads. - ➤ Scottsdale’s newest fire station, Station 612, opened on Sept. 22 near N. Hayden Road and Loop 101 and held an official open house on Oct. 3.
