  • The McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission voted 7—0 on Oct. 16 to advise the city council not to allow Salt River feral horses in the preserve. Mayor Lisa Borowsky had announced plans to introduce up to 60 horses on 600 acres.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Salt + Lime Modern Mexican Grill is raising money for the Down syndrome charity GIGI’s Playhouse this October through its Chips for Charity program; the restaurant will donate a portion of each $5 purchase of unlimited chips and salsa at its Scottsdale, Cave Creek and Arcadia locations.  Scottsdale Independent
