  • Scottsdale’s The Italiano opened in late September 2024 by Chef Joey Maggiore and The Maggiore Group and was named one of Yelp’s best new restaurants of 2025—praised for its heartwarming approach to traditional recipes and immersive dining experience. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Construction of a new storm drain will begin Nov. 3 along Roosevelt Street/Continental Drive at the Scottsdale-Tempe border to improve stormwater collection and reduce flooding risk—a joint project by Scottsdale, Tempe and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County. The $13 million project will extend an existing 78-inch drain with 7,500 linear feet of installation and is expected to be completed in December 2026.  Scottsdale Independent

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • An estate in Scottsdale's upper canyon of Silverleaf, known as Castle on the Hill, is set to sell at auction later this year—listed at $24 million with bids starting between $7 million and $14 million. Online bidding begins Dec 4 and in-person bids will take place on Dec 17 in New York.  Scottsdale Independent
