ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ In February, a jet owned by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neal crashed at Scottsdale Airport when a landing gear part separated during landing — killing the pilot and injuring passengers — and the NTSB recommended that the FAA inspect the landing gear on several Learjet models. KJZZ

- ➤ Western State Bank is moving its Scottsdale branch from its current spot on N. Scottsdale Road to a new site on E. Shea Blvd that will open Nov. 3—ribbon cutting is set for Nov. 13 and grand opening events are planned for Nov. 17-21. The switch will keep the same team and customer accounts unaffected by the move. - ➤ Scottsdale-based residential construction advisory firm ADVOCATE – Residential Construction Advisors earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year after posting 187% revenue growth over the past three years, ranking 29th in the Southwest and 139th nationwide among construction companies. - ➤ Metro Phoenix hosts 27 events this November that include food festivals, art walks, and holiday light shows for families in Scottsdale, Mesa, and other parts of the valley. - ➤ Northbound Loop 101 has been closed since Friday night between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive for a widening project, ADOT said. The closure will end at 5 a.m. Monday and also shuts on-ramps at Via de Ventura and 90th Street (drivers should use alternate routes via westbound Loop 202 and Scottsdale Road). - ➤ Scottsdale residents will not change their clocks on November 2 because Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time, while most states set clocks back at 2 a.m. to gain an extra hour of sleep—this practice has been in place since 1968 due to the region's extreme heat. The Arizona Republic
