- ➤ STK Steakhouse reopened in the former RA Sushi space on Scottsdale Road after RA Sushi closed after 28 years—this new restaurant now serves brunch, dinner, and a $69 Steak Night menu while planning a second location in Arizona. The Arizona Republic
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Natalie Dawson, Cardone Ventures co-founder, will host Money Matters—a free one-day bootcamp for high school girls on Nov. 11 in Scottsdale that will offer motivational sessions, interactive workshops and community activities to boost financial and personal confidence. - ➤ Paradise Valley Unified School District earned an overall grade “B” on its 2024-25 report — with 21 campuses receiving A ratings, 10 earning B’s, and three obtaining C’s — while all high schools scored an A or B; interim superintendent Dr. Jason Reynolds said the district uses these results to support academic and student growth. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Arizona Department of Transportation announced road closures and detours on Loop 101, Loop 202 and the I-17 frontage road for pavement work and widening projects running November 7 to November 10. Drivers in the Phoenix area should allow extra travel time and follow ADOT guidelines—schedule changes may occur because of inclement weather. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ State transportation officials said a section of Loop 101 in Scottsdale is closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening work while drivers on parts of Loop 202 in the Chandler/Ahwatukee area face *detours* due to pavement sealing, bridge work, and ramp closures.
