CULTURE NEWS

  • Phoenix nerdcore rapper Mega Ran was nominated for a 2026 Grammy for his album Buddy’s Magic Tree House — in the Best Children's Music Album category. The award show will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, and fans in Scottsdale look forward to seeing his work celebrated.  KJZZ
  • Canal Convergence runs Nov. 7 to 16 along the Scottsdale Waterfront and features interactive art installations such as lights, flames and a giant old fashioned TV. The event began in 2008 as a grassroots project and has grown with city support to attract international artists and local fire shows — uniting visitors.  KJZZ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Arizona State Board of Education released letter grades for the 2024-25 school year and Scottsdale Unified earned an overall A; its 30 sites received 22 As, six Bs and two Cs. HEALTH NEWS

  • University of Arizona's Dr. John Galgiani is developing a Valley fever vaccine in collaboration with Anivive Lifesciences, which plans to have a veterinary version approved soon—while additional trials for human use remain in planning.  KJZZ
