- ➤ Short-term rentals in Scottsdale are showing strong business this Thanksgiving season as bookings for the holiday week pace 7 to 9 percent above last year, according to AirDNA. Growth is slightly softer than earlier reports due to delays from the recent government shutdown. Scottsdale Independent

- ➤ North Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites residents to experience its annual Christmas cantata on Dec 14th at 10:00 a.m. in its sanctuary at 11735 N Scottsdale Road, where a free event will feature the performance of Canticle of Joy by Joseph Martin with narration by storyteller Jim Cogan and multiple choirs alongside a 22-piece orchestra. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Scottsdale City Council approved a memorandum of understanding to move forward with Axon Enterprise's expanded international headquarters campus on 76 acres in north Scottsdale by a 4 to 3 vote on Nov. 17; the campus will include a new 401,085-square-foot headquarters, retail space, condominiums, a hotel and supporting infrastructure such as road, water and sewer upgrades—expected to create 5,500 jobs and have a $3.5 billion economic impact—while legal action is authorized if Axon does not sign by close of business today. - ➤ Scottsdale City Council approved an agreement on November 17 that will move the Old Town Farmers Market from its current city-owned parking structure at First Street and Brown Avenue to the City Hall surface lot at 75th Street + Bennie Gonzales Way when the 2026–27 season begins. The market, a local tradition since 2009 that hosts about 100 vendors each Saturday, will benefit from more space as the parking structure is expanded. Scottsdale Independent
