BUSINESS NEWS

  • Dr. Kiera Smialek is expanding her Natural Kid Doc clinic in Scottsdale to offer natural care for newborns and children. She built her idea by caring for her siblings and now plans to provide families with more support with holistic treatments—strengthening her niche in pediatric health.  Scottsdale Independent

CULTURE NEWS

  • Upscale Singers will perform their Christmas concert “Christmas Memories in Song!” at Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center in Scottsdale on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.—tickets cost $30 for adults and $10 for youths.  Scottsdale Independent

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received $133,000 to boost investigations into fatal traffic collisions and target drivers with DUI or warrant issues — funding that will support overtime and training. ADOT launched Crash Responder Safety Week to urge drivers to slow down and move over for first responders.  Scottsdale Independent

HEALTH NEWS

  • A $105,000 grant has enabled Hunkapi Programs in Scottsdale to upgrade its south paddocks with new misting fans to keep horses cool and improve their living conditions. The nonprofit provides horse therapy for children with autism, trauma survivors, veterans and first responders.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Scottsdale-based nonprofit Children’s Respite Homes of America launched a fundraising drive on November 19th to raise $350,000 for care homes for children with chronic illnesses—its funds will support education, advocacy, and local care programs.  Scottsdale Independent

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Arizonans are preparing for a festive season with holiday events ranging from Scottsdale’s Fairmont Scottsdale Princess—where a 6,000-square-foot ice rink and 16 million lights dazzle—to train rides to the North Pole in Williams and parades in Prescott, Flagstaff and Payson. Many events are free or low-cost and run from Nov 7 until early January, ending Jan 3, 2026—offering families a mix of magical, community celebrations statewide.  The Arizona Republic
  • The Italian Daughter in North Scottsdale will host an all-day Thanksgiving feast for friends and family on November 27 from 11:00am to 9:00pm—attendees will enjoy a festive dining experience at the restaurant.  Scottsdale Independent
  • Outdoor ice skating rinks will open for the holiday season in Scottsdale, Glendale, and Mesa—from November 21 through January—offering real ice, set hours, and varied pricing. Indoor rinks in Phoenix, Gilbert, and Peoria remain open year-round for public skating at all skill levels.  The Arizona Republic

SPORTS NEWS

  • Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said running back Trey Benson returned to practice on Wednesday after missing six games with a knee injury, giving him a three-week window to be activated before December 10. The team is without receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who underwent emergency surgery for appendicitis on November 10.  The Arizona Republic
  • Arizona State football will boost its Big 12 title hopes if Cincinnati wins over BYU on November 22 at 6 p.m.—a BYU loss would help the Sun Devils improve their 5-2 Big 12 record and tie for third in the conference.  The Arizona Republic
  • Arizona State men's basketball team, with a record of three wins to one loss, will face Hawaii tonight at 9:59 p.m. MST at SimpliFi Arena in Honolulu + it begins a four-game series in the state. The Sun Devils beat Georgia State 75 to 62 on Nov. 17 + will join the Maui Invitational on Nov. 24 when they play Texas.  The Arizona Republic
  • Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson is listed as questionable after missing three games with a hamstring injury—head coach Kenny Dillingham said his first 11-on-11 practice today showed promise while his condition will be reassessed before the Colorado game.  The Arizona Republic
