- ➤ The Scottsdale Charros announced the 72nd annual Scottsdale Parada Del Sol Historic Parade and Trail’s End Festival will start on Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. in Old Town Scottsdale with a parade themed after the city’s 75th anniversary that includes over 150 entries from floats, horse riders and marching bands—The parade follows a route along Drinkwater Boulevard to Brown Avenue and Indian School Road—followed by a Western-style street party with food trucks, live music and a kids’ zone starting at noon. - ➤ Scottsdale police said that decorating a car with Christmas lights may lead to a traffic stop and fine because Arizona law requires specific colors for vehicle lights (red, amber, or yellow for rear lights and white for headlights and reverse). - ➤ A nonprofit group released its hospital safety report card that rated 51 Arizona hospitals using 31 measures where 9 received an A grade—such as Flagstaff Medical Center and HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center—while none got an F and 9 earned a D grade. The Arizona Republic
- ➤ Abrazo Scottsdale Campus added two new Mako SmartRobotics systems to enhance joint replacement procedures — Dr. Russell Cohen performed the first total knee replacement on Oct. 30, and the $1.5 million investment will allow additional hip surgeries while total shoulder procedures will come next year.
