EDUCATION NEWS

  • Scottsdale Unified School District faces a steady decline in enrollment and plans to repurpose schools for over $5 million in savings—public relations veteran Jason Rose proposed converting Echo Canyon into an arts magnet school to boost enrollment and provide specialized programs. Rose will donate $50,000 and his agency will support the effort with $100,000—measures that may guide the district's repurposing options for the 2027-28 school year.  Scottsdale Progress

  • A recent WalletHub study ranked Scottsdale as one of the top five U.S. retirement cities for 2025 and beyond, noting its high quality of life and rich volunteer activities (though the city ranks lower in affordability).
