- ➤ Trulieve supported local communities in November with a register roundup for Disabled American Veterans and a canned food drive for veterans — a campaign that showed its commitment to those who served. - ➤ After six and a half years selling refurbished furnishings to support veterans, Got Legs Furniture & Décor will hold a closing sale through the end of the year and then shut down in early 2026—allowing founders Jim and Donna Piscopo to focus on their long-running nonprofit Bridging AZ Furniture Bank that has served Valley veterans for more than 20 years. - ➤ Scottsdale Arts is busy this December with holiday events featuring concerts by Mariachi Sol de Mexico and Scottsdale Symphonic Orchestra and vibrant dance and jazz shows at local venues. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will host Taiwanese dance company Hung Dance and Las Vegas show Rita Rudner while Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art returns its Mystery in the Museum series (The Case of the Whispering Walls) and offers a winter solstice sound bath (Glow Up @SMoCA) at sunrise. - ➤ At a Scottsdale Unified School District meeting on Nov. 18, local PR expert Jason Rose pitched a plan to convert Echo Canyon into an arts magnet school called Scottsdale Arts Academy amid ongoing enrollment declines. He donated $50K and offered $100K in PR services, while the board will decide Echo Canyon's fate at a Dec. 9 meeting. East Valley Tribune

- ➤ Richard Young, 74, had a panniculectomy at HonorHealth Four Peaks Medical Center on April 16 that removed the fat apron troubling him for years and eased his discomfort.
