McDowell Road, to collect new, unwrapped toys for children in foster care via The Foster Alliance. - ➤ Ten local bands will compete tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale during Rock Out to AZ Bike Week. - ➤ Yavapai Elementary School fourth and fifth graders will perform a winter strings and band concert Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at their campus (701 N. Miller Road) in Scottsdale with free admission. Scottsdale Independent
- ➤ Six Scottsdale teachers will receive $2,500 each from the Fiesta Sports Foundation’s $1.5 million donation to fund classroom projects in the Wishes for Teachers program, benefiting schools like Sandpiper, Navajo, Cheyenne Traditional, Cochise, Copper Canyon and Cactus Shadows.
