- ➤ AAA said Arizona gas prices have dropped five cents to $3.27 per gallon but remain nine cents higher than last year and above the national average of $2.99; Phoenix averages $3.40 while Tucson shows lower prices at $2.99 (other local markets include Flagstaff and Yuma). Scottsdale Independent

- ➤ ISA students donated toys to the Phoenix-based Foster Alliance last holiday season. One school house contributed 292 pounds of toys (a significant portion), with overall donations surpassing that amount to support foster kids. Scottsdale Independent
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Maricopa County is expected to finish 2025 as the second busiest year for eviction filings with about 84,000 cases, down 4% from last year. Scott Davis of the Maricopa County Justice Courts said nonpayment is the main reason — filings may also involve criminal issues or unauthorized guests. Scottsdale Independent

- ➤ The Arizona Humane Society will open an after-hours walk-in pet clinic in Tempe on Dec. 11 to offer affordable non-life-threatening emergency care for pets. It will operate Thursday-Sunday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will accept pet insurance (exotic pets are not served). The Arizona Republic
