Good morning, Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Realtors will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on May 7 at the Venue8600 building, 8600 E.

Anderson Drive — all donors will receive a $20 e-gift card for their participation —.

Scottsdale is partnering with the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community to upgrade Pima Road from McDowell Road north to Via Linda Way by repairing the road, adding nearly seven miles of continuous bike lanes, improving pedestrian access, and modernizing storm water systems to reduce flood risks for nearly 12,000 daily drivers. Construction (which began in October 2024) will continue through winter 2026.

Motorists in north Scottsdale and the Phoenix area must plan for freeway and ramp closures from May 2 to May 5, ADOT said.

The closures affect northbound Loop 101, westbound I-10 and other routes — drivers should allow extra time for detours.
